Parents' Campaign
The Parents' Campaign at NDSU was established as a way for parents of current and past students to support the University in ways that tuition and fees cannot. Gifts to the Parents' Fund assist three specific areas on campus that benefit your son or daughter every day.
Why should I give?
"I pay my child's tuition. Why should I donate?"
Actually, tuition only funds part of an NDSU education. Private support from parents is necessary to help keep tuition as low as possible. A little money now could save you hundreds later!
"I'll give after they graduate, when I can afford it."
Your gift will be put to use immediately. The money you give now will go towards improvements that your child can directly benefit from while he/she is still a student. If you wait until your child graduates, he/she may not get the chance to benefit from your donation.
"My child no longer attends NDSU. It is now their responsibility, as an alumnus, to donate."
We rely on the support from parents of alumni to maintain North Dakota State's high standard of academic programs so that NDSU students continue to have an exceptional education and overall experience. Recognize that there were thousands of parents of alumni giving to NDSU while your child was a student, which enhanced their education! It is part of our tradition of giving and increase the value of your child's degree.

Career Center:
"The donations from parents allow the Career Center to afford the 'extras.' We hired a Graduate Assistant who works with first-time resume writers, many of whom are freshmen and sophomores, and we purchased equipment to make student registration at our career events more efficient. Thank you to all donors."
Please visit the Parents' page on the Career Center website for suggestions on how to support your college student's decisions on majors and careers.

NDSU Libraries:
"The Parents' Campaign has helped the Libraries purchase electronic resources for students to assist them in completing their class assignments. NDSU students can conduct their library research anytime, anywhere they have a connection to the Libraries' website. Parents' Fund gifts to the Libraries enable our students to access the digital information they need in a networked world. The Libraries wish to thank all donors for their continued support of student learning at NDSU."

Orientation & Student Success:
"The Parents' Campaign provides supplemental funding for important programs that directly benefit first year students at NDSU. In past years, Parents' Campaign dollars have helped us to hire additional tutors so that we can provide free tutoring to any first year student who needs it. Funds have also been used to support Welcome Week programs, including hiring student 'Kick Off' leaders to assist first year students in their adjustment to campus the first couple of weeks. Parent support allows us to enhance our late-night weekend programs such as Campus Live, which aims to give students a fun and safe alternative to off campus parties that may involve alcohol. Finally, we put these funds directly to work to benefit parents as well through our Family Weekend Program and Bison Bridges newsletter.
Parents are crucial partners in helping Orientation and Student Success programs reach incoming NDSU students in ways that will impact them. Together we can support new students in reaching their academic goals which will be a springboard to a bright future."
