Jeffry and Jeanie Volk’s many contributions to NDSU have clearly demonstrated their strong dedication to their alma mater. They are both engaged with the NDSU Foundation and Alumni Association, they are members of the President’s Silver Medallion Society and they co-chaired Bison Bidders Bowls XXIX and XXX. In addition, the Volks established the Volk Family Engineering Endowment Scholarship and the Jeanie and Jeffry Volk Nursing Endowment Scholarship.

Jeffry is a foundation trustee and a past member of the Foundation and Alumni Association’s Executive Committee. He chairs the Property Management Committee, is a member of the State and Local Relations Committee and a past member of the Investment Committee. He was co-chair of the 2015 Foundation and Alumni Association President and CEO Search Committee and was a member of the 2013 Search Committee. He also is a past member of the NDSU Civil Engineering Advisory Board.

Jeanie chairs the Bison Bidders Bowl Purchasing Committee and is a member of the Live Auction Committee and a past member of the Event Planning Committee. She has also served on the Alumni Awards Committee and is a past member of NDSU’s Nursing Advisory Board.

Jeffry is President and CEO of Moore Engineering Inc., which has offices in West Fargo, Minot and Bismarck, North Dakota; and Fergus Falls, Minnesota. A respected professional in the areas of hydrologic and hydraulic work, he has extensive experience with drainage, flood retention and flood protection structures; sewage collection and treatment systems; and water distribution systems.

Jeanie is a retired registered nurse who worked for St. Luke’s Hospital and MeritCare from 1976 to 2004. Working in the Adult Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal ICU and she also taught newborn care resuscitation outreach classes.

The Volks are committed to community service. They both are active members at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Jeffry is president of the board of directors of the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corp., a board member of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce and a member of the West Fargo Economic Development Advisory Committee. Jeanie has volunteered as a Parish Nurse in Faith, the Jeremiah Program, Churches United for the Homeless and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

The Volks live in West Fargo and have four grown children – Chad, Kyle, Jordan and Elizabeth – and two grandchildren.
